Blast furnace slag SL-1 : its preparation for use as a certified reference material / G.L. Mason and W.S. Bowman.: M38-13/77-57E-PDF

"This report describes the preparation and certification of a blast furnace slag, SL-1, for use as a certified reference material. The work is another facet of the Canadian Certified Reference Materials Project (CCREP) to certify materials that have potential value in conventional analytical or earth sciences laboratories. Certified reference materials (ores and related materials, commercial purity copper and copper-base alloys) issued previously by the CCREOP are described in a catalogue available from the Canada Centre for Mineral and Energy Technology, Department of Energy, Mines and Resources, Ottawa, Canada. SL-1 was chosen because there is a need for such a reference material in laboratories associated with the iron and steel industry"--Introd., p. 1.
