"This report describes the characterization and preparation of a sample of a uranium ore, BL-5, for use as a certified compositional reference material. The work is a facet of the Canadian Certified Reference Materials Project (CCRMP) to certify mainly materials that are representative of Canadian ore deposits and have potential value in conventional analytical or earth sciences laboratories. Certified reference ores and related materials issued previously by CCRMP are described in a catalogue available from CANMET, Energy, Mines and Resources Canada, Ottawa"--Introd., p. 1.
