Numerical computation of avalanche motion / T.T. Cheng and R. Perla.: En36-511/5E-PDF
"A computer program named ACCEL has been designed to process avalanche path data. Given path geometry, friction coefficients and dynamic parameters, ACCEL computes avalanche speeds at selected positions along the path and prints out the position at which the avalanche stops. This publication gives a complete set of instructions on how to use ACCEL. A brief description of the basic theories and methods employed in the program are given. The input-output data and formats are described in detail with examples. A program listing and flowchart are also included"--Abstract, p. v.
