The approach consists of specifying the nature and composition of amenable source rocks; of devising a leaching cycle during which certain constituents of the rock are solubilized; of specifying the conditions under which the solubility products of carbonate, oxide and related compounds are exceeded; of specifying the order and association in which the compounds would be precipitated; and of specifying the changes to be expected in aging of the deposit.
