"These ‘proceedings’ summarize the recent experiences of those attempting to include wildlife data and information into ecological land surveys. These experiences and the recommendations generated by the workshop participants will assist in developing effective methodologies for incorporating wildlife data into ecological land surveys. Furthermore, this meeting will provide the basis for wildlife input to a set of revised guidelines for ecological land surveys. This will be another step towards truly ecological Ecological Land Surveys"--p. vi.
