Analytical method for toxaphene in fish tissue / by J.F. Ryan and B.F. Scott.: En13-5/86-96E-PDF
"An electron-capture-gas chromatographic method has been developed for the analysis of toxaphene in fish tissue. The cleanup steps were modifications of an existing method used to determine organochlorine concentrations in environmental samples. Emphasis was placed in selecting peaks from the complex chromatogram of toxaphene which were not interferred with by other OC's, which gave quantitative recoveries at 0.2 ppm and yielded reproducible results. Eleven peaks were selected for the quantitation which followed these requirements in the concentration range of 0.2 µg/mL to 5 µg/mL with quantitative recoveries (>85%). Precision was generally better than 6%"--Abstract, page 1.
