Canada's cities and their surrounding land resource / by V.P. Nelmanis = Les villes canadiennes et les terres environnantes / par V.P. Nelmanis.En63-15/1979-PDF

"This report examines the quality of the land resource around Canada's 23 largest cities. It focuses on possible areas of confrontation between agricultural and urban uses and suggests how the use of the land should complement its quality. Detailed information is presented in the appendix along with maps for each city. A short interpretive text is provided but the reader is free to make alternative interpretations of the Canada Land Inventory data. The report concludes that the quantity as well as the quality of lands allocated to various uses deserve increased scrutiny to ensure sound management of Canada's lands."--Abstract, page iv.
