Interpretation of field tracer tests of a single fracture using a transient solute storage model / by K.G. Raven, K.S. Novakowski and P.A. Lapcevic.: En13-5/87-40E-PDF

"This paper describes the results of several field experiments investigating hydrodynamic dispersion in a single rock fracture. This is a relatively new area of study in which there are very few documented field experiments particularly with the background information we have here. Consequently the results of this study have considerable importance in determining how we use groundwater transport models to predict the migration of contaminated groundwater away from waste sites overlying fractured rock. The Hyde Park Landfill and S-Area in Niagara Falls, NY are examples of such waste sites"--Management perspective.
