"In order to satisfy the demand for weather services in this specific area, we, with the encouragement of the Superintendent of General Weather Services, Frank Williams, set up a special weather observing network over the Thompson River and the Shuswap Lake area and instigated a special recreationsl weather broadcast fo rthe area over four local radio stations."
