"On October 14 1978, The Pacific Weather Centre implemented a trial program with the institution of an operational (dayshift only) satellite meteorologist. This is an attempt to achieve maximum possible utilization of one of the main analysis tools over the Pacific ocean, that is, satellite imagery and satellite derived data. .. His morning analysis program will end with the issue of the FXCN4 CYVR satellite message at 11:45 a.m."
