Removal of cobalt from synthetic zinc sulphate electrolyte by cementation with zinc dust / D.J. MacKinnon, Extraction Metallurgy Division.: M38-1/264-1973E-PDF

"The removal of cobalt from synthetic zinc sulphate electrolyte by zinc dust cementation has been investigated with respect to the effect of metallic ions and electrolyte impurities. At 90°C, a satisfactory rate of cobalt cementation resulted when the ratio Co:Te:Cu was 1.0:0.4:10. The cobalt cementation rate decreased with increasing zinc sulphate concentration and when the Cd'' concentration Ln the electrolyte was greater than 200 ppm. The effects of pH, type of zinc dust, stirring velocity, and initial cobalt concentration have also been determined"--Abstract, page i.
