Wetlands of the St. Lawrence River region, 1950-1978 / Land Use Monitoring Division.: En73-4/45E-PDF

"In Quebec, riverine wetlands are disappearing at a rapid rate, particularly in the St. Lawrence River corridor, where man has encroached steadily. In response to the problem, the Canadian Wildlife Service of Environment Canada conducted two specific studies in 1980 and 1981 centering on the region of the St. Lawrence River and its tributaries. The findings of these two studies complement the interests of the Canada Land Use Monitoring Program of the Lands Directorate of Environment Canada"--Abstract.
