5203 |a"Atmospheric emissions of beryllium in Canada have been estimated for the year 1970. A summary of the data presented in this report is given in Table 1, along with emission factors for sources in the United States. During 1970, no beryllium mining or recovery operations were carried out in Canada, nor were any planned for the near future. Manufacturing industries were found to handle imported beryllium materials with care, and therefore produced negligible emissions. Total emissions of beryllium from manufacturing operations were estimated to be less than one pound annually"--Abstract.
