"Due to increasing demands from the agricultural community it has become necessary to verify the PWC 5-day Forecasts in a convenient and systematic fashion. Initialy, a simple precipitation - no precipitation verification program is being introduced beginning August 1, 1980. The results of this program will be made available to the WO4s so that their staff will be abe to answer some of the questions which the agricultural users may wish to know."
