5203 |a"Several workers in the literature have stated that the concentration of sulphate (SO4) found in air is influenced by the sampling time. According to Corn and Demaio, the amount of sulphate found expressed in micrograms per cubic metre of air is less the longer the sampling time (3). This air sampling "anomaly" with respect to sulphate concentrations was confirmed by Roesler et al (4). Accepting this anomaly as fact, Lee and Wagman carried out experiments to explain it"--Abstract.
