"A study was performed to investigate the applicability of sealant or grouting-sealant materials to render containment dykes around petroleum storage facilities in the North impermeable. This study included a review of the available knowledge on these materials. The materials were considered in terms of their applicability to the sealing of petroleum storage facilities, their behavior with respect to the environmental conditions expected and their ability to perform over a period of time in the Arctic"--Abstract, page ii.
