Testing of air-deployable incendiary devices for igniting oil on water / by Energetex Engineering.: En46-4/78-11E-PDF
"This report summarizes the results of field experiments that were conducted in Waterloo between September 29, 1977 and January 31, 1978. During these experiments, several different igniters were tested for their ability to ignite Norman Wells (N.W.) crude oil slicks. The performance of each igniter was evaluated under static and air-deployment situations, and appropriate modifications were made to each igniter design. From both the static and air-deployment tests, the ignition probabilities were calculated for each igniter design"--Abstract.
