Development and use of computer programs for finite element analysis = La mise au point et l'utlisation de programmes sur ordinateur en vue de l'analyse de la méthode des éléments finis / Y.S. Yu and D.F....: M38-1/198-1969-PDF
"A computer program has been developed to simulate the stress distributions around typical, irregularly-shaped mining openings. The actual, non-homogeneous mechanical properties of the rock can be taken into account in the program. The simulation also takes into account the possibility that the stresses are produced by either of or both gravity and tectonic forces. In addition, supplementary computer programs to check the input data and to interpret the massive output of the finite element analysis have also been produced. This report describes tle development of these computer programs and provides detailed information and instructions on their use"--Abstract, p. i.
