"Nine rivers on the Island of Newfoundland are sampled several times a year. Evaluation of the data for 1984, 1985 and 1986 shows no significant trends in weathering rates or in pH. The pHs of these rivers are generally higher than those of the LRTAB monitor rivers in Nova Scotia, and the sulfate and DOC concentrations lower"--Abstract.
