Sumary report IRQC studies 120-131 (Sept. 84 - Aug. 85) trace metals, major ions, nutrients and physical parameters in spiked samples / H. Alkema.En13-5/86-90E-PDF

"At the request of WQB Headquarters, the interregional quality control program (IRQC) was initiated to assess comparability of analysis data generated by the five regional laboratories. Twelve studies were distributed bi-monthly between September 1984 and August 1985. The studies dealt with the analysis of trace (heavy) metals, major ions, nutrients and physical parameters in spiked water samples. In this annual report, data is presented and performance is evaluated for some 40 parameters involving some 100 analytical procedures. Generally, analyses were performed very well, nevertheless a number of key analyses were identified to be out of control and subsequently brought to the attention of laboratory managers to help improve the quality of the data and to alert them to resevaluate their internal quality control."--Executive Summary.
