"The International Peer Review Committee (IPRC) for the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) Program was appointed by a Tri-Council Steering Committee comprised of the Presidents of the three Granting Councils. The mandate of the IPRC was to review the 158 proposals submitted in the NCE competition on the basis of the published selection criteria and to make recommendations to the Tri-Council Steering Committee for transmittal to the Minister of State (Science and Technology) within the timeframe suggested by the Advisory Committee to the Minister"--Introduction.
