"Localized forecasts for wildfires or prescribed burns are frequently issued by meteorological technicians located at the Forestry Regional Offices in B.C. As many as 700 forecasts can be issued from one office in a busy fire season. The problem has always been how to verify these forecasts in a consistent and useful way."
