"The presence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediments was determined in six widely separated locations in the Great Lakes system. Concentrations varied from below 5 ug/g in the Lake Erie sedimentation basins and in selected St. Lawrence River cores to 20 - 30 ug/g (or higher) in the vicinity of potential point sources"--Abstract.
