"The following guideline has been developed to identify for proponents of projects the types of information and analyses that Environment Canada would expect in the wetlands section of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The guideline has been developed to be consistent with The Federal Policy on Wetland Conservation(Government of Canada 1991), referred to herein as the federal policy; the Implementation Guide for Federal Land Managers (Lynch-Stewart et al. 1996), called the implementation guide; and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act referred to as CEAA"--Introd.
