Supercritical fluid extraction of PCBs in tandem with high resolution gas chromatography in environmental analysis / by F.I. Onuska.: En13-5/89-124E-PDF

"A simple method has been developed for the direct coupling of supercritical fluid extractions with a high resolution gas chromatograph equipped with an electron capture detector. SFE conditions have been investigated for PCBs from sediments in terms of mobile phase, entrainer, pressure, temperature and mass-flow optimization. The dynamic and static extractions were compared. Extraction efficiency of up to 100% in 10 minutes has been obtained. The extracted PCBs are quantitatively transferred onto a fused silica open tubular column"--Abstract.
