The Japan Science & Technology Fund : a Government of Canada program / External Affairs and International Trade Canada, Industry, Science and Technology Canada, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research...: C23-51/1992E-PDF
"The JSTF was put into place to enhance collaboration in science and technology with Japan. Since its establishment in 1989, the JSTF has evolved in response to the changing needs of the Canadian science and technology community. The Fund serves as a catalyst for interaction between Canadian and Japanese researchers and organizations, rather than as a source of ongoing funding. The JSTF is intended to complement, not to replace, existing federal funding mechanisms"--Objectives, page 2.
