Speciation of organotin compounds in water, sediment and sewage samples by gas chromatography/atomic emission detection / Y.K. Chau, F. Yang and R.J. Maguire.: En13-5/94-70E-PDF
"Procedures were developed for the direct speciation of thirteen pesticidal and non-pesticidal organotin compounds in water, sediment, and sewage samples by the gas chromatographatomic emission detector (GC/AED) system. The multi-channel and emission spectra features of the emission detector are used to enhance the specificity of the technique. The absolute detection limit (as Sn) of this technique is 0.5 pg. Relative detection limits for water (1 l), sediment (2 g), sewage (1 l) and sludge (100 ml) are 0.5ng l⁻¹, 0.5ng g⁻¹, 0.5ng l⁻¹ and 10ng l⁻¹ respectively. Relative Standard Deviation (%) for recovery in spiked samples range from 2.5-9.1% for water (2 µg of each organotin species per litre); 0.6-063% for sediment (0.25 µg g⁻¹); and 0.6-9.5% for sludge (5 µg l⁻¹). Analyses of environmental samples and Reference Sediment (PACS-1) are given"--Abstract, page 1.
