Nanoscience application to the characterization of PM10 ground-level air particles which impact on urban surface water / Gary G. Leppard and M. Marcia Reid.: En36-518/11-011E-PDF
"Earlier studies of ground-level air particles (Leppard & West, 2006; Rochfort et al., 2007) were undertaken to examine deposit fractions on a well-trafficked road in the City of Toronto. A subsequent study was published recently (Rochfort et al., 2009). Since the particles were likely to be diverse and variable in amount and nature from one sampling time to another, we sought to define them in terms of multiple criteria, and not just by size range alone"--Introduction, page 6.
