"The Souris River flows across the international border between the United States and Canada, crossing from North Dakota into both Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Concern over water quality in the river prompted the Souris River Bilateral Water Quality Monitoring Group and Environment Canada, Prairie and Northern Region, to undertake toxicity tests during the high flow period in mid-April 1998"--Abstract.
