"This report presents the findings and recommendations of the evaluation of the analog component of Library and Archives Canada's (LAC's) Preservation Program, hereinafter referred to as "the component." Since April 1, 2018, LAC has adopted a new departmental results framework that includes the Preservation Program. The program has two main components: analog preservation, which is the focus of this evaluation, and digital preservation, which is excluded from the evaluation. Analog preservation for access is also excluded from this evaluation, as it was addressed in the evaluation of the Access to Documentary Heritage Program. As this is a targeted evaluation, evaluation questions were limited to effectiveness, that is, examining progress made in achieving short- and medium-term outcomes and efficiency. The methodology meets the requirements of the Treasury Board (TB) Policy on Results approved in 2016"--Introduction, page 6.
