"In 2010, DRDC undertook Applied Research Project (ARP) 12pa entitled "Self Improving Inference System (SIIS) to Support the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) Process". The main objective of this ARP is to support the analysis and sense-making aspects of the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield/Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPB/IPOE) process. This document is meant to provide a starting point for the analysis of IPB/IPOE processes in the context of this project. The objective is twofold.
