"The fate of tissue phosphorus after herbicide induced macrophyte senescence depends on abiotically and biotically mediated processes of an aquatic ecosystem. Decomposition of plant tissue may deplete the oxygen content in the water and a large flux of nutrients to the ecosystem could potentially stimulate the growth of planktonic algae"--Abstract.
