"Industrial sectors and/or sites regulated under the Fisheries Act are required to undertake Environmental Effects Monitoring (EEM) as an integral part of their responsibilities under the regulations. The application of regulations based on uniform effluent standards alone may not, in all cases, provide protection of the receiving environment"--Introduction.
