"The intent of this study, commissioned by the Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce of the Canadian Government, was to determine the current status of the use of computers by the Canadian Construction Industry and, if warranted, to recommend possible actions by industry and Government directed at increasing the productivity and efficiency of computer use. … The study does not pretend to be exhaustive in the sense that it provides an in-depth analysis of the factors affecting the level of usage of the computer by the industry. Nevertheless, it does provide a clear indication of the problem areas and recommends short term and long term courses of action which will be beneficial to the industry"--Introduction.
