The analysis of TBTO in sediment extracts involved solvent exchange, chemical derivatization with ethyl Grignard reagent and analysis of the resulting ethyl derivative (ethyl-tributyltin) by GC/AAS. Stability of TBTO in sediment extracts was investigated under two storage conditions, namely 4°C and 25°C in the dark.
