Critical shear stresses for erosion and deposition of fine suspended sediments in the Fraser River / by B.G. Krishnappan and P. Engel.: En13-5/94-60E-PDF

"Depositional and erosional characteristics of the Fraser River sediment were studied in a new rotating circular flume. The influence of pulp mill effluent on these processes was also examined. It was shown that the sediment exhibits transport characteristics peculiar to cohesive sediments and that the pulp mill effluent enhanced deposition and inhibited erosion. The implications for field conditions are discussed"--Abstract, page iii.
