5203 |a"Using theoretical and dimensional analysis two methods of measuring bedload in large rivers have been examined. Both methods require the same data gathering procedure in the field and differ only in the way these data are processed. Both methods provide similar results with accuracies of about ±30%. Results have shown that profiling procedures are dependent on the flow conditions in the river. Guidelines for hydrographic surveys have been presented"--Abstract, page iii.
