Suspended matter in the southern Beaufort Sea / Brian D. Bornhold, Marine and Coastal Section, Terrain Sciences Division, Geological Survey of Canada, Dept. of Energy, Mines and Resources.: En3-6/25-2E-PDF

"Concentrations of suspended matter measured in the southern Beaufort Sea in August and September, 1975 ranged from less than 0.1 mg/1 to more than 17 mg/1. The highest concentrations were recorded at nearshore stations off Kugmallit Bay. Mid-water and near-bottom zones of turbid water are common, though their exact causes are not clear. The distributional pattern of suspended matter reflects closely the physical oceanography of the area"--Summary.
