Evaluation of the method for the determination of dioxins and furans in pulp and paper industry related matrices / R.J. Wilkinson, B.K. Afghan and I. Sekerka.: En13-5/92-10E-PDF

"This report describes the method suitable for analysis of samples associated with the pulp and paper mill industry for PCDD’s and PCDF’s. It summarizes the data generated during the period 1987-90, that the analysis at ppt and ppq levels is highly difficult and the reliable determination at these levels presents many problems. These problems include sample heterogeneity, cross-contamination during sample processing, handling of standards and extracts, selection and availability of standards, extraction, cleanup, qualitation and quantitation of isomers and confirmation of results"--Abstract.
