"Hearing loss is a known hazard of military service and one of the most common reasons for receiving Veterans Affairs Canada disability benefits. Prevalences of hearing problems for Regular Force Veterans (released 1998 to 2012) were compared to the Canadian general population using data from the Life After Service Studies and the Canadian Community Health Survey."
