"The amount of crude oil which may be released to the environment during drilling in the Beaufort Sea is estimated. The effects of oil in terms of the Beaufort Sea surface heat budget are briefly discussed. Considering the amount of oil likely to be released in exploratory drilling, its movement, and its effect on the surface heat budget, it is estimated that no important climatic effects are likely"--Summary.
