"Dr. Carmen L. Piggott was a Defence Scientist working for the Naval Research Establishment (NRE, now known as the DRDC – Atlantic Research Centre) when he lost his life in the 1965 crash of a Maritime Patrol Aircraft while performing scientific duties in the field of Anti-Submarine Warfare. This document provides information regarding the circumstances of his tragic death, his scientific accomplishments, and the nature of his well-regarded character.
