"Efforts to predict the behavior, performance and success of foreign direct investment in the form of joint ventures are hampered by the range of variables and complexity of interactions involved. This paper applies one of the techniques of cross-impact simulation modeling to the case of foreign joint ventures in Mexico in order to reduce these problems and improve the potential quality of such prediction. The study is based upon a series of interviews with foreign and local managers of joint ventures in Mexico, with foreign and Mexican businessmen and with Canadian and Mexican government representatives"--Abstract.
