Discussion paper on the development of implementation strategies for the introduction of advanced television services in Canada.: Co23-90/1987E-PDF
"Over the past five years, there has been an increase in activity and interest in advanced television systems related to improvements in picture and sound quality. This discussion paper is primarily intended to solicit views on a number of issues associated with the future implementation of these systems and to propose to introduce an experimental period over the next three years to stimulate industry systems trials and transmission demonstrations"--Introduction.
