"In the fall of 2005, experimental trials to integrate the Free-Fall Cone Penetrometer (FFCPT), an in situ sediment profiling tool, with a Moving Vessel Profiler (MVP), an automated profiling winch, from a vessel underway were completed in conjunction with DRDC Atlantic aboard the CFAV Quest as part of scientific cruise Q290. This experimental work revealed several areas in which further R&D was required"--Abstract.
