"This report presents the results of a very thorough examination of the performance and implementation of certain codes which could be used for error control in the data block of a single data packet of Canadian Broadcast Telidon. We have analyzed the performance on a wide variety of theoretical channels. We have also shown how to decode the codes well within the time constraint using a modest amount of "look-up table" storage"--Introduction, page 1.
