The rainstorm of May 16, 1974 in southern Ontario / by D.M. Pollock.: En57-23/3-74E-PDF

"The rainstorm of May 16, 1974 in southern Ontario gave peak rainfalls in excess of 4 inches and flooding was reported in the vicinity of Cambridge (Galt) and Mississauga. Most of the rainfall resulted from thunderstorms associated with a warm front lying to the south of the area of heaviest rainfall. Substantial over-running of warm, moist air supplied the moisture to the thunderstorms which produced the heavy rains"--Introduction, page 1.
