520 |a"Hydroclimatological data from tropical storm Agnes in the Lake Ontario basin, June 20-25, 1972 were analyzed with respect to rainfall distribution and return period frequency. Weather events occurring prior to and during Agnes' appearance in the basin are discussed. In the southwest portion of the basin rainfall and flooding occurred with a 200-year recurrence interval. Storm durations were especially long exceeding 58 continuous hours. Weather events over the lake are described using the observing network of the International Field Year on Lake Ontario (IFYGL)"--Abstract.
