Operational atmospheric dispersion forecasting / Bruce Thomson, Eric Taylor.: En57-45/90-1E-PDF

"Over the past few years, concerns about the state of the environment have grown remarkably. The reduction of visibility caused by smoke from forestry and agricultural activities, health concerns over emissions from residential woodstoves and levels of pollution in our urban centres are important environmental issues. The Atmospheric Environment Service provides an operational air quality service in a few areas of Canada, mainly to support the forest industry. In order to deal with these other environmental issues, the AES may be required to expand the air quality services program"--Abstract.
