"The purse seine catch during the 1982-83 winter fishery was 3648 tagainst a TAC of 3000 t. The catch rates from purse seine logs and hail information show an increase from the previous years while the effort decreased this year. In 1982-83 the majority of the catch was again taken off the northeast tip of Cape Breton and over 841 of the catch consisted of 4, 5, 6, and 7 year old fish"--Abstract.
